So people it’s nearly Christmas! I was wondering if we could all share how your year at training has been, what have u achieved and what do u hope to achieve in 2006? Also what are some of your memories from 2005 at FSW?

Well of course, what I have acheived is: Joining. And that's about it so far. Best memories? Taking the Ken Keneddy thing was fun. I think my favourite match I've been involved in was me and Dale vs Big Sam and Jamal. Oh wait. I think me vs Twissie was good. Gonna have to have the rematch soon!
What do I hope to acheive next year, I hear you ask? Well it's simple. I'm hoping that by Christmas '06 I'll be good enough to get on a show. Fingers crossed. Doubt it'll happen, but, a guy can dream.

As this is my first year of training, I consider nearly everything an achievement.
Best bits in training: Learning to wrestle. Meeting other people who like wrestling.
Favourite match: To be in: vs. Jamal To watch: Shane vs. Jamie (ECW rules match)
Goals for next year: To continue to improve. To have a half decent match without the other person carrying me through it. To finally hit that damn 450.

favourite match- one that sticks out is me and jamie vs the twins but i cant really remember them all. i enjoyed alot of the lessons and hope that 2006 will bring more.
my goal for 2006 is to try and get booked for a show, to gain some weight, to work out harder, get flexible, grow my hair longer and learn as much as possible.

The fact that i've been wrestling for nearly a year after wanting to do it for so long is a big achievement for me My favourite match is me and Lucy vs Jamie and Twissie, although i've enjoyed a lot of them and learnt something from all of them!! I have too many great memories, i wouldn't know where to start My goals for 2006 are: to keep improving. to be able to contribute more in match planning and to learn more about the pshycology and how to tell a story in the ring. to gain a lot more confidence. to hopefully be good enough to be on a show by the end of the year!!

I've achieved one important thing this year. Confidence. It stills wavers now and then, but my last session I discovered that I wasn't nervous about being thrown into the ring at random to work with someone unprepared, and I was excited to show Alex what I could do, rather than being terrified that I'd mess up.
In 2006 I'm working on a lot of cardio to improve my ability, and I'm going to work on maybe spicing up my moveset. And I'm going to continue pretending I know what I'm talking about to new guys.

One my of achievements was learning how to shooting star it took me so long to learn, but when I finally got it I was so happy. My biggest Achievement so far has been able to have a match on a show with Manchester massive. My favourite match in training The one that sticks out is the ECW rules one with Jamie or the one match with Declan that was insane. Some of My memories Doing a springboard ssp to the outside and missing everyone lol Doing an Asia moon Sault and kicking the lighting out of the roof My goals for next year are Develop a character Work on looking like a wrestler learn more crazy stuff And have a moveset

I gained something i now dearly hold close to my heart...... CRAZYLUCHAMADNESSFEST! Luke, do the dance! :boogie: yes! yes! yes!....by far the highlight of 2005, the many many dance off's. Some things that stand out in 2005 also are... - The most dirty move i've ever seen...Dave's ganso bomb on Phil. - The second most dirty move ever seen...Dave's 'modified' Rayne Check on Jamie. - Kelly vs Jamie...I remember that match being awesome! - March 05...Me vs Egan FSW. - The birth of the Simon Valour head band craze. - My 25+ minute match with Dom in early (i think) 05. - Ross coming to FSW in his adidas 'Big Bad Albert' t-shirt and goalie gloves. - Kid Kris assuming that somersaulting to the outside at training would impress Alex. My goals for 2006 are as follows... - Be able to arm drag out of every single wrestling move. - Be able to shooting star press off the top rope...land on my feet...and then do a wristlock. - Hopefully more shows for FWA. - Gain weight! - Gain charisma! - Wear a horse mask on a show. - Have a bra and panties match with Dom Travis.

- The most dirty move i've ever seen...Dave's ganso bomb on Phil. - The second most dirty move ever seen...Dave's 'modified' Rayne Check on Jamie. In 2005 dave rayne brought much filth to futureshock wrestling, filth that was entirely his own, and didnt involve any kind of suplex (german, tiger, half nelson or so on) It is with great pride, and even greater enthusiasm that Dave Rayne will strive to bring even more filth to Furtureshock in 2006. Watch closely people, for my piece d'resistance the fabled "top rope raynecheck" coming to a training session near you, in 2006.

Wow, 2005... Really good year in terms of training. Returned with a bang, made a committment and stuck with it (couldnt make it due to exams the last week) and had a rad time. I gained a lot more trust and confidence not only in myself, but in the other trainees. Debuted some new finishers, new moves, did some crazy stuff...TOOK some crazy stuff, but thats all g-g-g-g-good. Not a s-s-s-s-s-single s-s-s-s-ide effect.
Probably my favourite match of 2005, would be Bailey vs. the Ring post. That was brutal. I'd like to take this time to mark out for kidkris, the most deserving superstar of 2005.
Goals for 2006? Train consistently (the lancaster trainline is back up!) Get on a FSW show, do some travelling to see more independant promotions, and finally get my friggin boots from MMA, they refuse to post them to me!!! Them, plus learn how to dropkick ala Randy Orton.
Merry New Year everyone.

Interesting thread Well this time last year I definetely stood out at training because I was me. My wrestling however was somewhere between poor and minimal. I actually started using a move - the victory roll last december much to everyones surprise and that was last years highlight As for this years achievements in wrestling...:- -First and foremost I did get booked on a show (even if I have spent longer waiting for traffic lights to change) -I had my best match yet back in August against Messeur Greenwald -The now legendary tassled boots debuted -I can honestly say i'm twice as good as I was last December. I reckon I could lead a 7 minute tag match now and it would be passable -Sam and Shane doing amazing things I never will be it an SSP or a no rope missile dropkick suicida -Watching guys like Jack Domino, Simon Valour and Luke Gree..Agenda solidify their places as the UKs next generation of wrestlers without becoming too bitter........*cough* -My amusement as Jaqk Halewood goes from everyones submission nightmare to suplex monster to the 4th stooge.....and is/was pretty darn entertaining at all 3 stages As for 2006 it looks like it looks all shiny on the horizon with promises of monthly shows and other wonderful things. Here are some Moose goals -Keyword: consistency If I could maintain a good moose session level of timing and execution I might get a booking that lasts longer than a kettle boiling -Keyword: experience Another year of training will surely make me improve but a handful of FSW shows and ideally (if over-optimistic) an outside booking or two could be even better -Weight gain - I'm actually addressing this with the help of Messeur Dorian Yates. I'm up to 154 lbs from 140 since Oct. Could I make 200 lbs by next christmas? I've had a blast at FSW this year and I wish everyone the best in 2006

I started in Feb 2005 so I havn't been going for a year yet but I've loved every minute... Best bits about training for me in 2005:Learning to wrestle, obviously...also the phycology part. The seminars from Alex Shane and Mark Sloan. Meeting new people and gaining new friends with the same interests. Many FSW KFC banquets! ;D Favourite match:To be in: I enjoyed matches with Egan, Jamie, Shane (because I get to beat him up lol). I've also enjoyed all the recent stuff I've done with Phil. To watch: Shane vs. Jamie. Goals for next year:To continue to improve To get bigger To get on a show To develop my heel character and charisma!

One of my biggest achievements is going training after wanting to do it for ages! My favourite match would be me and Kelly vs Twissie and Jamie, but i have enjoyed working with everyone and learnt so much. Some of my favourites to watch have been Luke and Chris, pretty much everytime they wrestle and Team SAS vs Phfil and Neil!! There have been so many memorable moments, too many to say Goals for 2006: Gain more confidence To learn more about physcology and putting matches together and continue to improve.
