Hey guys, I was at training last Saturday, just watching it, but it gave me some confidence towards actually doing it. I should be starting in 2 weeks (would start next week, but I'm on holiday that day). Some of the stuff that was being done looked a bit advanced, but, if what I've read is correct, initially you just do bumping and the like.
By the way, for those who were there, I was that funny lookin' kid in the grey hoody sat on the wooden gym block all day. Sorry if I didn't talk to anybody much (if at all), I was, to be quite honest with you, terrified. But for name-calling purposes, I'm Dan, hehe.
And yes, I did just basically copy 'n' paste my post from the FWA Gyms forum. But we'll ignore that. Hope this is the right section to post this, anyway.

Just an update: I couldn't come last Saturday after I got told 2 days prior to training that I had a family thing that I couldn't miss, punishment for doing so ='ing death, so I couldn't come when I planned to. However, I'm most definately coming tomorrow, so be gentle, . Remember, the quiet, funny lookin' kid. What will I be doing, most likely? For example, would I work with the rest of the group (as when I watched it was one big group with Declan) or would I do some stuff in a smaller group for beginners? Not sure on the whole set up, please forgive moi.

It depends on who's training and what the advanced guys are doing. Whatever happens, you'll learn how to bump without dying, always handy. Chances are Dave or Dom will teach you the bumps and basic holds, depending on how much sleep I've had/what my asthma is like I may well wander over and get roped into helping out, although I did that last week so less likely to do so again tomorrow.

you help out the new guys so you don't have to do anything in the ring

That was the old me, who lacked in confidence, not anymore. We were doing movesets and, minus a submission, I already had mine from when we did it before, so I felt it better to help the new guys and allow Dave time in the ring.
And training them is fun, going back through all the old wristlock stuff. Having trained at FWA Academy, I know plenty of wristlock reversals.

Cheers for today guys, it was awesome, I had a lot of fun. Not too confident yet, but I'm giving it a go, and thanks to a lot of you for coming over and talkin' to me, 'twas very... awesome.
My back hurts just a little bit after today.

Unfortunately I didnt go this week. Alas, next week I shall be there. Also, Jessie and his thousands of wristlocks is awesome. I will also slowly add more and more wristlocks to my repotuire (sp?)
