Hey, Just wondered about how the schedule usually works for training, cuz I have had 2 training sessions last year and one on last saturday of 2005 which we didnt do any training on....I just wondered if people could gimme info on how things work,
like getting the proper attire for training ie pads and boots.
Wut Happens once the basics have been taught.
Are The FSW shows gonna be a good chance for up comers to get a chance?

Just wear some sports gear. Don't wear jeans though because they are one of the things band. Pads are recommended for your own safety. Mmauniverse.com has some gear if you need any and try highspots.com. The FSW shows are an opportunity for up and comers.

www.mlsports.co.uk is my favourite place for pads. But eveyr session you turn up, there'll be training (Except for the Christmas/New Year period when the gym is closed). The only other exception is when a trainer cannot make it for a certain reason. But we are notified of this beforehand. As for the schedule, there isn't one. I've been there two years now and I'm still polishing my basics and technical, yet there are some only there a few months before they're on shows. And the F-SW shows are a great chance for any trainee who works hard enough.

Basically Luke, The main advice I feel personally that I can give U is to just get some pads (knee pads a big recommendation, elbow pads are usually more to the choice of the person), boots and gear and to just get in the ring, enjoy yourself and learn as much as u can before thinking about shows. Don't get me wrong getting in the shows is important, but taking the time to learn the basics, getting to know the rest of the trainees and becoming a decent worker is far more important at first. Patience shall be rewarded young wrestling protege. wax on, wax off.

Or you can save money for pads and develop your bumping because you know you can't afford to girl thingy out and throw your elbows/knees down...

I have a feeling that if the ring was kept the way it was on saturday people's bumping would get a lot better quickly...
