Just wanted to know what match or event caught your eye and pulled you into the world of wrestling.
For me it was the first ever episode of RAW IS WAR I watched. Or more specifically the main event. Mankind Vs. The Rock for the WWF championship.

Well for about four years, my nan's flat got Sky TV dirt cheap. Y'see the owner had one satellite dish for himself and then had it linked to all the other rooms. Y'know them "Pay just £5 a month for sky in another room" things? Eventually they figured it out and cut it off but basically my nan had Sky long before we did (we got it in January 1993). Me dad would take us up to see her every Sunday morning and we happened to come across either Challenge or Superstars, whichever show aired on Sky One of a Sunday morning. For some reason I've always had a visual of it being the Bushwhackers against the Beverly Brothers as the first match I ever saw but I'm not sure (nor proud ) if that's the case... So we'd go up there and every week make sure we'd check it out, this is mid-1992 I think, before SummerSlam in Wembley. Our local video shop had some WWF tapes too for rental (and WCW ones) and we quickly went through them all, all the while pestering our mum to get Sky. Which, as I said before, she did in January 1993. To be honest, whilst I remember seeing the show at the time, I can't recall too much in the way of seeing the build-up progress for WrestleMania 9. The first PPV event I remember watching all the build-up for and really anticipating was King of the Ring. Bret Hart just totally reeled me in that day and it's still one of my favourite WWF PPVs of all time (and Bret/Hennig from that show needs to be seen by everyone it's their best match together). So yeah, that's moreorless it, and I'm still hooked 13 years later.

I never had sky until about the time of Foley's retirement- the Royal Rumble of that year.
At primary school, we always used to play wrestling in the playground (does this count as yardtardery? I hope not!) and I used to collect "Monster Wrestlers" (as in Monsters in My Pocket, if anyone remembers them) Then at High school I used to go round and watch old PPVs at my mate's house. After a while, he started taping them for me. I remember watching such classics as The Oddities vs Kaientai, Cowboy Bradshaw vs the Godfather, and The Godwinns vs The Quebecers...

I remember getting WWF Attitude with my playstation, thats my first experience with wrestling then i saw an episode of smackdown which had Mr Ass vs the dudley boyz in a handicap table match, i think the fame asser through the table sealed the deal, then i found a wrestling obsessed friend who showed me all the PPVs from like 98 onwards, after that it was putting on matches infront of large groups of friends in fields and backyarding until i joined future-shock first move = chokeslammed onto a bed
(i like details)

My cousin showed me the Summerslam TLC match, and I thought it was cool, then forgot about it. Until I started visiting my grandad upon weekends, where one night we came across Raw. Then we watched Raw and Smackdown every week until recently. So really, it's my grandad that got me into wrestling, albeit indirectly.

Royal rumble 2000.
if anyone remembers, it was on channel 4, the first (and one of the only 3 or 4 i think) they put on. my dad was away and my mum didnt know how to use the video recorder to record at a set time, and i was about 10, so she stayed up till twelve and then set it off, only JUST missing a bit of the rumble at the end.
the two matches that stuck in my mind were hardyz/dudleys tag team table and HHH/Cactus Jack in a street fight (this might explain why i always prefer multiman and gimmick matches over 1 on 1's).
i remember almost everyone at school watched that rumble, but after a few months frittered off wrestling, but i stuck through. about a year/year and a half later i got sky, and started watching raw and smackdown regularly, and that was it really.

I got into wrestling in 1991 when I was 3. There were two main factors really: One is the Hogan/Slaughter match at Wrestlemania VII and seeeing Undertaker destroy Jimmy Snuka at that same event. I was a casual fan catching the action whenever I was at my Godmothers house, (she had sky right from launch) or my old friend dean who loved WWF/E. however it was Summerslam 1996 when I became a die hard fan the "Boiler Room Brawl" just mesmorised me and thats when I became a die hard 'Taker fan. Not to mention Vader and Michaels (who is my second favourite westler). I fell out of wrestling in December of 1996 but got straight back into it in March 1997 for two reasons Austin and Takers reign as champ. Sinc e then Ive watched every week!!!!

Damn people.... I thin i just realised how old i am compared to u guys.
I can remember watching wreslting at my neighbours house constantly when i was younger, say 6/7 but i have no individual memories if who was whom back then. i mean, we are talkin 1988 here.... I used to watch the saturday afternoon WCW on ITV as well, and i can remember seein Ricky Steamboat on there but i cant place it in my timeline. But i remember i drifted off wrestling for a while till i was 14ish, and i was on holiday at my grans in spain. I was channel hopping and board one night when i realised two seperate channels were showing the same image...one a spanish channel, the other sky sports.. so i flicked between the tow to amuse myself...until i actualyl saw what was on the tv...
I got so engrossed, and that night was the night Taker chokeslammed Mankind through a cell...AWESOME
when i got home i bullied a mate into tapin wrestling for me every week... never looked back since. EVen got sky as an xmas present one year (my only present cos it so expensive) just so i could watch wrestling.
