You're not 14. The rules are, you have to be 14 to join. And you're not - therefor should not be going

Yes, by all means you should come to watch
But try to be patient - I was waiting for 10 months before I was able to start. Went to watch a few times

Well said dragon, and besides, when I go to Uni in September, I'll be more than happy to escort this young man to Manchester and back, as my Uni is in Lancaster, not a stone's throw from Preston. Nuff' said

I would like to point out, yay, Phfil's moving to Lancaster. Phfil, I'm invading your residence, since I can catch a bus there. And naught wrong with the boy coming down and talking to people, see what we do, and find out if he still wants to do it. And I had travelling arrangements for a month before I came down with Mr. Rage. December isn't far away now, start planning as soon as you can. Forewarned is forearms. (Makes no sense, but it sounds profound)

Is it Lancaster Uni or St. Martin's Phil?
If it's LU, which college? I was in County...

You'd have to ask my mother..hang on...
.....It's Lancaster University. Pendle college methinks.
If you were in County, then surely you can tell me how great Lancaster is, and how I'll have lots of fun getting inebrihated there. Jesse, you're more than welcome to come round, I have to get my Batman comics somehow! With that said, anyone is welcome to come round after a Morecomb bout, as Im assured that Lancaster is on the way to Morecomb. 'nuff said.

Lancaster is 15ish mins from Morecambe, if I remember rightly, and does indeed rule. Pendle is (or was when I was there- they've re-jigged the colleges and moved everything in the last year or two) the posh college with en-suite and stuff, so everyone will hate you! There are a great many drinking establishments, with different kinds to suit different tastes. Can't remember the names of many in town, but there is a bar in each college which makes a good pub crawl. I challenge you to attempt the full 18-hole-there-and-back pub golf crawl, seeing as you are right down one end. It is not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach. We always went to the Sugarhouse (the union owned club in town) on a Thursday for the rock night. Which is fun. There is usually a drinks offer on, whichever night you go, which makes liver damage a whole lot cheaper! One pound for a shot and mixer is a fairly regular deal they run. In conclusion- Lancaster>Aberystwyth, in terms of fun. The course didn't really suit me there, but it's a great place to live.

well, university life is sort of a new beginning...see the link there eh eh? kman, you haven't lived till you've done the infamous [somethin] brawl pub crawl in Leeds, in fancy dress none the less. You'll have to show me round Lancaster as I went into the town few weeks ago and thoguht it was a lil' poopy. But we'll see. How 'bout the FSW-liver bustin' stomach pumpin' bowel churnin' pub crawl from one end of Lancaster, right through into the castle, where the king of the mountain tournament starts! Sounds like a plan to me...see you guys there.
